I just think that’s acceptance of all is what those rights movement really meant, they just didn’t know what it all encompassed at the time. They were fighting for everyone to be accepted and I thinks that’s what we should all hope for. Everyone is a person, everyone has their merits. Even if not all good were all people should be treated as such.

That’s fair I just thought that there may be the one person who saw X-Men (2000) who didn’t know she was Mystique. Cause hot damn she was definitely one of the better live actions than drawn.

Wait are X-Men not culturally relevant anymore? Shit I’m old. They had very inclusive ideals which I think is relevant these days is all for North America currently, unsure how well other western societies are doing but it appears not so great either.

I only hope we can end up as inclusive as X-Men they understood everyone was different but wanted to coexist. Isn’t that what we all want? Sorry not directed at you personally just adding cause X-Men rock.

Didn’t watch the 2000s X-Men? Romjin was Mystique, looking quite attractive of course. Mean not saying bad if you hadn’t but that’s how I remember her originally. Plus she was John Stamos wife for awhile. Keep forgetting it’s Jerry O’Connell she’s married to now who I used to enjoy from Sliders (first seasons then it gets meh). I don’t know the other two myself though, but always enjoy Takei when he’s a guest star.

Haha I think of that look more often than is probably needed, like an elementary school kid mocking someone. Which for the movie was great and at the time fit well for that time. Nowadays who’d ever to think of doing similar on tv? Except maybe someone without shame.

I don’t know Emo Philips at all but him just willing to do that bit and the good Christian joke flood bit that I’ve read and made me think he was cool. Like what God cares if we do one tiny bit differently? Mean maybe murder but that’s not up for debate…well a few examples stick out unless he’s a real hardass about it. Hah I’d love to defend that line if there were a pearly gates.

One of my favourite movies of all time. I love the spoof type movies this was up there. Probably not as good as say Mel Brooks but hard to beat his movies and always enjoyed Wierd Al.

Lol that’s exactly how I saw it as well. Recursive gets those nesting dolls look in my head, loops are the same size but repeated, even if infinite. Yes even if the code is almost the same since you can write a loop recursively anyways (okay haven’t tested but seems like it’d work mostly fine but not always as clean).

I think the beauty of it is that the joke can be amusing in multiple ways. Those are the best jokes to me, cause I can think of different ways the next time I see them.

I do see what you’re saying but how I see it, and thinking of all the awful movie tie in games from NES era, ET felt better than average in theme. He had to find the phone pieces and avoid the government agents while wandering in the woods. Not too too different from the movie theme in overall thinking.

Now I’m not saying gameplay was good or anything but think of all the cheesy tie in movie games of the NES era, they’re all some random platformer which sometimes alluded to they had a movie name. Of course there were good ones but best ones I can think of were Duck Tales and Rescue Rangers, not tied to a specific movie or episode. Then you get your Back to the Future has little to do with the actual movie.

It wasn’t so bad if you were a young kid in the 80s. Least my experience. Like what, I supposed to kill the shield of yars revenge again? Well that was more fun but still, needed variety.

That said would I play it again? Fuck no. Course I wouldn’t frost my hair tips again either, or willingly wear neon either.

I had fun playing it in the mid 80s but I didn’t have a ton of games at the time either. Have a fond memory of it overall (maybe because I liked the movie), and still enjoying video games these days. Don’t think I played the Indiana Jones one to compare though.

Now comic books are kinda out of date, they used to assume you couldn’t be that evil and say you are while no one stops you from your plan while you talk about it non stop.

I’ve rewritten much of my code as needs changed, I call myself an idiot a lot since I’ve worked on this program nearly a decade and was my first professional software so often change old code I wrote. Though it was more additional at first since I used a lot of code the lead programmer did. Though he duplicated everything as needed for a tiny change ugh. Least I know how not to do it.

I always thought it was Raiden too to the point I didn’t realize there was a Rayden spelling. Sounds like a fabric or non stick coating. Mean I didn’t play a ton of Mortal Kombat but knew, what I think was Scorpions finisher (?) in MK1 on Genesis, Start up up? Probably forgetting but that’s the only one I could remember enough to use back in it’s time…in the early 90s it was nothing short of fantastic to see them, even without the blood code for Genesis.

Actors who always commit to their roles! It’s always a pleasure to see them, especially when you see them go from very serious to comedy in various parts. Tom Hanks was fantastic in the 80s when he was comedy but he seems to do more serious roles since then. Also why Saturday Night Live skits can be awesome when such actors are guest starting.

Pretty sure it is, cause I always think of Charlie and Martin when his name comes up, yes I know not related just sticks due to last name.

Last time I read about it I was curious who he’d play, I was just listening to Dune before seeing this and finally realized that was the only real role (unless it was a recast one, but that seemed unlikely) that’d be worthwhile for a more well known actor…I guess it could have been the guild navigator, I forgot about him.

Mean there are a few minor roles that they could expand on but why would they focus on irrelevant items when there’s so much story to cover? Oh…

I say that as enjoying Dune as a cinematic movie but they really didn’t do the story justice. So much great intrigue story with it barely discussed. I only did watch them once so maybe missed some finer points

Won’t happen functionally, as it’s designed to. I feel for the US citizens, they’ll break it all. From Canada where they had a new system, Phoenix or something for payroll I think, it caused a lot of hassle and was probably well intentioned, unlike this, but I never read much on it.

My favorite way to say Matt Damon for the internal laugh. Also enjoy the story of how the puppet didn’t turn out right so we got what we all laugh at for the Matt Damon puppet.

The part that killed it for me when it came out was it was called the next Star Wars (heck it may have been one article but I grew up in the middle of nowhere, kinda like Luke heh, but it was closer to Hoth than Tatooine), like I can enjoy it fine, actually a favourite, but nowhere near the enjoyment I get out of the original trilogy. Okay I’ll admit the original trilogy has a huge nostalgia factor but you don’t think of that when you’re like 16.

I do think it’s a really fun movie overall, super green.
