They used a shortcut to call the LLM to fix an error. The final “fix” was for the model to add a comment after the error saying “this is the error”. It’s about at the level of a real developer leaving a comment to themself saying “FIXME [later]”, instead of just fixing it.

Pornhub is a car from the 201Xs. And most other media players are varyingly from 1960 and 2025, i.e. out-of-date and over-engineered.

It’s going to be unthinkable. There were memes about managing legacy code but that was from people that at least knew what ‘objects’ and ‘functions’ were. This…this will be horrendous.

I mean, if the base game folder is .8 Gb, then aren’t their 3 mods the 1 Gig culprit? That’s a moddev issues and not many are concerned about optimizations.

This is a great advertisment for what real developers do. You shouldn’t just crank out the first idea that works. You should be doing something that is smarter and sensible.

You shouldn’t be allowed to do things if you’re this fuckin stupid. What does this even mean? How the fuck does Soviet Russia impact your decision to buy groceries?

You want to have a non-final product write the training for the next level of bot? Sure, makes sense if you’re stupid. Why did all these companies waste time stealing when they could just have one bot make data for the next bot to train on? Infinite data!

How is that weird? You can be fine with suboptimal stuff, and recognize it’s suboptimal. Some people like their relatives and wished they could talk together more readily. Letters were just the fastest (while economical) method of doing that for a while.
