They literally have to by law, it’s GPL software that’s how the license works.
I mean surely, they have direct access to the AOSP code, I’m sure they can just remove the anti freedom parts.

I don’t really mind which way I donate but I want to ensure I donate by giving the most money to lemmy and not to whatever platform is hosting it.
While I am not particularly interested in setting up crypto, aside from that which platform would you prefer I donated from?

1·9 months agoI watched the video and it was honestly crazy. I’m not an arch user but soon to become one after watching thet.
I feel like my story is a lot similar to yours almost a year ago now I saw a YouTube video about degoogling. It caused me to switch to Firefox with betterfox on the betterfox github pages there was a new oil link which I read and followed ultimately leading me to all of this and so much more.
Shouldn’t torrents be used for large files?

What I am planning to do for myself is add a few drives to my proxmox pc, create a truenas vm and pass those drives through to it. Saves a bit of money if you have the space.
