That’s nice since nitpicky mods sometimes complain about posted articles without the thumbnails.

Some people are dedicated to older tech ;)

Poor people can use their devices for longer, check the iPhone 5s scene.

Some techy guy might show up one day to do some work optimizing on the older iOS version to squeeze more value out of the devices to prevent e-waste.

I suppose folks can use Mlem for 7-8 years for their current iPhone.

However this is discussing the scope of it’s time 2017-2023.

More people need to use matrix and xmpp instead!

However I’m in Canada. Sideloading isn’t allowed here yet by the government or Apple.

I’m glad that exploit still works. Though it has a developer account upfront cost to access.
