We pick the hills we want to die on and one of mine is not “state-mandated paid training seminar.” I feel your frustration and hope that we can find more productive ways to encourage people to be less shitty to each other. You’re right - you shouldn’t have to pay with your time for what some other bad actor did, especially when you know that your values would never allow you to behave in the manner of that bad actor.
