1·3 months agoPretty much happening if support disappears for 2.4GHz wifi. Most of these smart devices require it, and many wifi routers don’t even bother transmitting it unless you specifically activate that option.

My father had it when he was trying to consolidate his utilities. It was nearly unusable even for watching a 720p youtube video. Whenever I visited his house, I elected to work offline rather than pull my hair out

It’s true that there’s some usefulness in recollection, but geez I find myself digging through my browser history and being absolutely lost… whether it’s an article, video, online store product, anything. Then I usually just re-search for whatever it was from scratch 🤷♂️

8·9 months agoYeah, plus the assist feature shuts itself off when it can’t be used (ie. driving into the sun) unlike Tesla’s version that instead chooses to ram you into a building then blames you for it by disengaging 0.1 seconds before the collision.
Buying electronics from Amazon is really rolling the dice. I’ve received so many inadvertent open box returns… it’s just a matter of time before you get burned.
