Most people don’t find turning the lights off and on burdensome enough to justify a whole lot of effort to avoid.

Man, if you wanted to destroy the entire American tech sector it seems like dumping everything into a red herring product that won’t ever be more than a parlor trick would be a really good way to do it.

If the question is vague bullshit like this, the answer is “no”.

The problem is that this product already exists and it doesn’t work.

Honestly this feels like a product that Chat GPT probably came up with in the first place.
Edit:
So I asked Chat GPT “Whats a product that doesn’t exist yet that would make me rich if I sold it?”
This is number 2:
“Digital Memory Prosthetic” – A Wearable That Records Everything You Hear and Summarizes Your Day
What it solves:
People forget names, conversations, tasks, and ideas.Capabilities:
Auto-transcribes your day (meetings, errands, conversations you permit).
Summarizes the day into a personalized journal.
Finds moments later (“When did I promise to follow up with Sarah?”).Why it’s huge:
If it’s private, secure, and optional, it becomes the next evolution of personal productivity—basically “external memory.”

Yep, and now you know why all the tech companies suddenly became VERY politically active. This future isn’t compatible with democracy. Once these companies no longer provide employment their benefit to society becomes a big fat question mark.

Its a niche fork of a niche product that doesn’t make money for anyone involved in making it. They don’t care.

Which is funny because that is one of the things that LLMs are particularly bad at.

I really miss some of the extra content we got with physical media releases. The commentary tracks had some real gems in lots of shit.
It’s neat that AI is already ruining the world in really tangible ways.
