Reported an issue with the name. I know I’m shouting into the void on this but a small poke in the eye makes me feel better.

This really is the dumbest timeline. I can’t even make up satire shit that is more wild than what is now.

It’s like the shitpost version of blitzkrieg. Just overwhelming you with absolute diarrhea for the soul. And it’s working, even though we all know it’s happening.

I honestly don’t give a shit, and wish less attention was given to inconsequential nonsense like this.

Trump and co are doing things far more destructive than this.

You can’t die on literally every hill. Save your energy and fight the important fights.

It’s just a very literal direct example of American imperialism.

This is a rallying call. Get pissed off about it. Shout how Trump is a fascist, how he’s ruining the country and taking everyones freedoms away. Shouting is how they’ve been winning the cultural political war. They own more media organizations and can be louder. If we say nothing, then the average person thinks what’s happening is fine. You’re not going to get people to riot if they aren’t angry.

This is also a prime example of how Google cannot be trusted, and driving a wedge between the average person and Google is a very important and necessary thing for the anti fascist cause.

It’s a direct example of distracting people from the actual consequential actions.

It’s like yall forgot the first Trump presidency. People were protesting and getting angry early on. Then they burnt out.

They didn’t have energy to fight when important things happened.

Be angry. Sure. But be smart about what you’re angry about.

        This is something dumb.

Well, yeah, because the United States Geographical Service is the source of truth for geographical names. No surprise Google and Apple follow it. There’s a little more breakdown than that, but that’s the gist of it.

The change is fucking stupid, you know it, I know it, we all know it. Save your fucking ire for all the real shit going down. In comparison, this doesn’t rate a single breath.

This is correct, given a new administration can simply change it back to keep it in line with the rest of the world. Won’t do us much good if there isn’t a next administration, though.

Of course not. They’re a corporation. We like to think they’re perhaps less evil than others, but the truth is they would harvest their users internal organs if they thought it would increase shareholder value.

      Fuck Capitalism.

Tim Apple is literally a financial contributer to the Trump presidency. They are not being shy about their support. I’m Suprised it took them this long, but they’ve always been a bit behind with their maps project.

Maybe if enough people file feedback on the name change they will reconsider. At least they will have a glut of feedback to deal with.

In my view, the only ones that really care are the people whose opinions don’t matter. The Gulf of Mexico will always be the Gulf of Mexico, regardless of what it may legally be called. Much the same way, in my view, X will always be Twitter, And Zuckerberg will always be POS.

The one group that does understand class solidarity are the wealthy. They’re not bowing to him because they’re all in sync.
