I bought a MacBook Air M2.
As of writing, it's very affordable with the 16 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD, 13.6" model available for $750.
As of writing, also Asahi Linux doesn't support anything newer than M2.
That’s right! I have a 13” MacBook Pro, and I’m eyeing a 15” one (I don’t really need one), and now I’m thinking of getting an 11” MacBook Air, as I had one from 2010, and it was quite snappy with Arch Linux and sway, the 2 GB version. A decent typing machine.
