I find it odd since they have added features that X doesn’t have. The algorithm is designed to lower the visibility of spam/toxic posts. And when you reply, it opens the whole thread so you can read what others have said.

The dislike feature is in beta, this feedback should affect the algorithm that feeds your feed. They’re also testing a way of prioritizing those you engage with (‘social-proximity’ metrics).
